At the age of 36 Bryn Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's Disease is a progressive condition which affects the part of the brain which controls movement. The condition can cause difficulties which include tremor, stiffness and slowness of movement.
Parkinson's is widely perceived to be a disease of the elderly. This is not true. There are around 6000 people under 40 in the UK who have been diagnosed and are living with the condition. There is presently no cure for Parkinson's. The progression of the illness can not even be slowed down. The available medication can only mask the symptoms. Bryn is extremely keen for a cure for Parkinson's to be found!
This website is for people looking for information on Parkinson’s Disease and particularly for information on living with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease.
This website also provides information on the efforts of the Wobbly Williams team to raise funds for research into the causes, treatment and cure of Parkinson's Disease
