04/10/2009 The Doc :: Cats & Dogs

Well, I haven’t really done much over the last two weeks.  I had my cast removed today which is great.  My arm isn’t completely sorted though unfortunately, I have to see a specialist as the doctor thinks that there may be more damage and so I will need a scan, so that they can see what exactly the problem/damage is and then decide what to do.  Fingers crossed that surgery isn’t needed.

On a better note, I went to see District 9 at the cinema.  It wasn’t too bad; the special effects were excellent, and once it got going there was a fair amount action.  The plot was a little strange, but its worth a look when it comes on tv.  I also saw Angels & Demons this week, wow!  This was excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The plot was great; there was action, drama, and a good twist thrown in.  A very good film, I totally recommend it.

I was dog sitting for a friend who was away last week.  I decided to take Lex (the dog) for a walk on one of the national pathways near my house, as it was a nice day and I was feeling fairly good and meds were working well etc.  So off we go.  Lex has a lead that extends, so I open the catch to let him have his long lead, he shot forward to get ahead like they do.  The next thing I know a cat strolls in front, Lex goes mad bolts after the cat but being attached to the lead still, I went splat straight into a puddle!  Nice!  That would have been embarrassing enough except the puddle was thick with mud and there was a group of walkers coming the other way…oops!  How embarrassing; never mind we all had a good chuckle as I waddled off soaked and covered in mud.

Until next time, take care and stay mud free :)
