Welcome to the WobbleAid 2009 home page
WobbleAid is an annual rock festival held in Downings, County Donegal in Ireland. The music festival brings together some of the finest local talent together with acts from around the world to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and to raise funds to help in the fight for a cure for this unforgiving disease.
The first WobbleAid was held in 2008 and raised over €2,500 on a sunny day in Donegal and only came to an end because the bar was drunk dry of all drinks including Bacardi Breezers!
WobbleAid 2009 will take place over the weekend of 29 and 30 August 2009. The Saturday night will be a warm-up night with Glasgow band Reflector taking the stage at 10pm in preparation for the main event itself on Sunday 30 August.
WobbleAid opens with a kids disco at 2pm, the bands starting at around 3pm. Entrance is free and there will be a BBQ and children’s entertainment including a balloon modeller.
This year's band line up will include:
Boy Done Good Mud-Skippers Reflector Stray This Way Up Humble Earthworms Noel Thompson Band Sex, Spuds & Sausage Rolls TKO Would43's
If this all sounds too good to be true, it is; a team of highly sophisticated money extractors will be circulating to remove every last Euro and cent from your pockets and wallets which will go to this year’s charity, the Cure Parkinson’s Trust. In addition limited edition commerative t-shirts will be on sale. The number of t-shirts will be strictly limited to the number we can sell.
